If HP receives notice of such defects during the warranty period, HP shall, at its option, either repair or replace the defective product. If the customer or any third party adds to or modifies the product as supplied by HP, then the product is considered a non-qualified device. Any damage caused by a non-qualified device is excluded from the warranty. However, HP will repair or replace only the HP portion on a time and materials basis.
